Today is my birthday. I turned 26. I’ve learned more in the last year than in any other year of my life.
I learned how to do goal-setting effectively,
I learned that it’s okay to cry when I’m burnt out,
I learned how to communicate well,
I learned how to focus on the things I can control,
I learned how to be resilient,
I learned how to judge fairly,
I learned to document the things that are important to me,
I learned how to be a minimalist,
I learned how to handle our finances better,
I learned about investing,
I learned about business acumen,
I learned about the business of design,
I learned that I’m a business, not a freelancer,
I learned that I need to show my work,
I learned Shopify theme development,
I learned Google Flutter,
I learned that I need to read my obituary (not literally),
I learned how to be a great leader and many more.
I made my relationship with my wife and family even stronger,
I made new friends and made a great time with true friends.
I keep pushing my limits, stepping out of my comfort zone, always looking for growth and learning things that make me valuable. Taking responsibility for the life I want is the best thing I did.
It’s not easy. There’s always hardships and unexpected things that are not in the plan. I’m not afraid to fail, I’m not afraid to take the risk. I learned enough from the failures that make me want to fail again so I can learn again.
My goal for this year is to continue my Shopify development and have a Shopify expert certification. Also, my wife and I might launch our essential oil brand. So many plans in the pipeline.
The future belongs to risk-takers. If I win, I’ll be happy. If I lose I’ll be wiser. And I’m excited about what’s to come.
